games until Buffalo wins ANYTHING for the 1st time!!!

OK--getting a little ahead of myself--but its that time of year to hope.
I went to over 50 games the year the Sabres went to the CUP in 99 and wasn't this excited. Sabres have never had this much O since the French Connection--just need to clamp down on D.
Tonight they DOMINATED the Flyers--however, they did not finsh. Credit to the Forsberg/Gange/Knuble line for grit in tying it up--but without ESCHE the Sabres win easy. Esche was OUTSTANDING.
Sabres need to score on the PP--but their speed was dominating tonight.
They had close to 60 shots on goal to Philly's 30+.
Sens/Devils still are the class of the East--but only 15 to go...

ps-when Umberger wakes up tell him the number on that truck that hit him was 51!!!!

Welcome to the hockey forum, I somehow missed your posts all season long. Good win by the Sabres, but one playoff win does not a Stanley Cup Champion make!!! Series is far from over. The Flyers will be back on Monday and were it not for Kappenan hitting the post in the first overtime you would be singing a different tune. The truck #51 should keep his head up because hits like that do not go unpunished, especially by the truck on the orange and black wearing #87.

Good luck to the Sabres, I am sure they are pumped that you watched your first game of the season.

Well if this was my first trip to the forum and was my first game watched all year-I STILL saw enough to know that the Flyers were DOMINATED last night. The Sabres skated circles around them. They OUTHIT-OUTSHOT and OUTLASTED the Flyers. IF they had finished on 1/4 of their opportunities they would have won by 5--but they didn't. Hockey playoffs are about goaltending and Esche was awesome--but doubt he will play that well all series.
Listen Broad Street Bully-I was just getting a little excited. Guess I better thank that post huh?? Cause one of those 60 shots from Buffalo shouldn't have snuck through?? Your team should be called out after a performance like that. They spend 2x what the Sabres do and always have stars up the ying yang.
Totally agree-series far from over--if the Flyers tie it up I will bet you a vintage Clarke jersey against a vintage (um-not too many Vintage Sabres).

WW Buffalo did surprise this year for sure....

They don't have the goaltending to win, unfortunately...

Agree--and I know Flyer fans do it well-that is why the orange and black are hated.
Was afraid of the Philly ability to hit and play aggressive-but they looked tame last night. They came in about a week before the season was over and dominated the Sabres--last night was different.
Was in Vegas a week ago and saw the Sabres at 6-1 to win the Cup. Any Buffalo team to win anything should be 1000-1 ++++
Still only 15 to go. Better get ready for another pummeling tomorrow night.....
