game, not series.

over the course of that series, it was clear who the NBA favored winning, but it took a whole series for that to become evident.

the Celtics got hosed. period.

As a Celtics backer, I don't feel as if I made the wrong bet.

As a diehard fan of the Celtics, all this game taught me is that the Celtics are the far superior team and in a seven game series will win 4-0 or 4-1.

Hey, whatever you gotta tell yourself to help you sleep at night. :missingte

ROFL @ Boston backers. :nohead:

They forget too soon when Boston went to the line 49 times and Lakers went to the line 8 times in GAME 2. Lakers lost that game by 2. That game changed the entire momentum of the Finals, but Boston fans forget too easily when refs are calling it their way. :missingte

Get it through your heads you wan BOSTON fans. The only way they're gonna beat the Lakers is with a depleted frontline. Today, Bynum was only 50% and he still made a significant difference. And with the addition of Ariza, it sucks to be a Boston fan right now. :finger:

:party::pope:

You don't need to copy and paste your post, bro.

The Celtics are the far superior team. As a Lakers fan, you should be shitting yourself and preparing for twenty-ten after watching today's display.

Is it my fault I gotta repeat myself, due to the redundancy of threads to justify Boston's meltdown?

It doesn't matter if it's 20-10 or 20-0. We win when it counts. We may not show up against Miami and Indiana, but we can beat the best the league has to offer. :tongue2:

Got to take circumstances into account along with basketball skills. The NBA tweaks outcomes through reffing, today's game was a good example. Straight reffing, the Celtics would have walked away with it. Dummies will read this game as the Lakers have surmounted an obstacle. Smarties will see that the refs engineered a Lakers win because it fits the league's marketing script.

After I slept it over, I still can't believe the refs. The game was over before it even started.

I'm not a fan of any team, I just watched the game for pleasure. But it was very, very evident the game was sold. Of course, if you are a Laker fan you wouldn't notice.

I don't have any respect for the NBA anymore... :(

This is aactually funny. One team took 8 free throws and the other took 15. This is trivial. Take a look at what happens to the Pistons regularly. The simple fact is Boston had 17 turn overs and the Lakers had 11. The Lakers had 6 more blocked shots. shooting percentages were very close except on three point shooting where the Lakers were 8 of 20 and the Celtics were 5 of 22. And the Lakers won by 9 points. Bring in the War Crimes Tribunal?

bingo.

those easy layups rondo and tony allen got against LA last year were easily swatted away by bynum. you also don't have powe dunking on every other play and glen davis getting offensive rebounds with bynum in the game.

I'm a Laker fan and felt they got all the calls. They were at home and that's typically how it goes.

Goes to show Boston backers are sore losers. Hey, you can run away to Africa, but you can't run away from the truth.

It's not the truth at all.

The Lakers had 2 team fouls with 3 minutes to go in the game. That doesn't happen in a physical battle like last nights game was unless of course, the referee's have a say in the outcome.

I expected it to be officiated in favor of the Lakers; I never expected the officials to decide the game.
