De La Salle -8.5 -120
Under 74.5 -120
2 units each.

I see this as a 35-14 game.

Thanks. I think folsom will also crush. I only see a line for the open division. It's through 5dimes. I doubt they will have any other lines for the other smaller nameschools.

De la salle runs runs runs. 74 points seems high considering they play 12 minute quarters. De la salle runs up tempo similar to and ASU type offense. The only way this goes over is if de la salle put up 60+. I don't see that happening unless centennial gives up 2-3 pick sixes. I think de la salle controls the game through their ground game.

blue, thx.. i go to nocal alot and love watching it on tv if i'm there in december

how does open work for lower divisions? is it 3 vs 4?p

curious that de la salle runs hurry up as big socal teams have so much more talent/depth. delasalle kids are insanely fit and i'm guessing tons of opponents aren't

have delasaale's hist open champ games gone near that total in past?

sorry ipad typing

Wow! Unbelievable that high school games were available to wager on. I thought you were going through a local.

Open division is for the most competitive teams. Then you have a sliding scale from 1-4 or 5 of less competitive schools. I believe it is based on school size. The open division however is open to any school that voluntarily signs up. Some of these schools like de la salla aren't that big but they dominate recruitment in an area (private schools).

No area in CA can match the talent pool in socal. It is a hotbed of talent. De la salle typically has smaller players every year than the other top schools. They make up for it by having every player as fit as can be across the board (muscle and endurance). They almost always are outweighed by their opponents in the trenches. They also run a wishbone type option offense. They also run hurry up. They never have big name QBs.

Most otherbig name schools have top QBs with more balanced typical offenses. They are not prepared to face de la salle. Think georgia tech. They typically start off slow through the first quarter or half and then ecause of conditioning start wearing out defenses and piling up points. Opponents become one dimensional which only exacerbates their problems.

I'm sure locals have lines on othe state bowl games. I know 2 locals but I rarely use them these days. I don't follow much high scool but i almost always catch the state bowl games since they started a few years back.

johnblue, had never thought of that specifically for GTech. makes sense tho.and makes me understand that totals for 2 high pace teams is multiplicative not additive (if that makes sense)

DLS has been in about 5-6 state bowl games. All have been point totals well below 74.5. The only game that went over was a 48-28 win over centennial a couple years ago. Hence the 74.5 this year. I believe it should be set closer to 60.

DLS only loss in a bowl game was last year 20-14 to Bosco. They got outrushed which they rarely do. Only teams that are typically close to them are those that run option, wing t, veer, etc like DLS.

You are right. My bad. I was only looking as far back as 2009 or so. They are 3-1 or 4-1. They lost their first two back in 2007-08.

They are a stalwart in the bowl games.

I'm a HS football junkie and know DLS like the back of my hand. Very familiar with Centenial as well. They took car of my Gauchos (alma mater)a few year ago in the SoCal Championship. Centennial has an awesome pull option read program. Take the -8.5 and don't look back. DLS is every bit as dominant as in the past. As far a last year, NOBODY was going defeat Bosco.

De La Salle year in year out is good because of discipline, conditioning, and cadence. Depending on how the refs call the games, DLS may get called for a few false starts since they run the quick veer option offense. Their cadence is what keeps defenses on their heels. By mid 3rd quarter all their opponents heads are spinning trying to keep up with the snap count and their lineman are pushed 3-4 yards backwards before they can even get off. 4th quarter the defense has thrown in the towel.

These type of interstate games usually happen during the pre-league season in August. There may be action on them but don't know for sure.
