5-Unit Play. Take #512 Miami (-5) over Atlanta (8 p.m., Friday, January 14)
The Heat have been one of the best home teams in the NBA this year with a 12-4 record and they just played in Atlanta on Wednesday and hammered the Hawks 115-91 so this one could be win number 4 in a row for Miami. This is the first of four straight home games for the Heat, and they deserve some home cooking after seven roadies in a row. Miami is absolutely a contender this season and they have not been at full strength for much of it so look when they get all their guys back so go ahead and take them tonight with no worries at all.

1-Unit Play. Take #504 Detroit (+8.5) over Toronto (7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 14)
Toronto has had the most favorable schedule in the NBA over the last two months. The Raptors have only played on the road three times since Thanksgiving. Three times! Needless to say, the role of large road favorite is not one that I expect them to wear well this evening. They have lost three of their last four road games, including blowout losses at Indiana and at Cleveland. Detroit is a trash pile. But they were humiliated in their last game at Chicago and I have to expect a stronger effort in front of the home crowd here.

2-Unit Play. Take #508 Philadelphia (-3.5) over Boston (7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 14)
These are two of the most mentally fragile teams in the NBA. I'll go with the home team, though. Philadelphia has dominated at home over the last several years and they have quietly started to play better of late, winning seven of eight. They tripped up against Charlotte earlier this week (the Hornets shot 52 percent in that game) and I don't see the 76ers losing back-to-back games at home.

1-Unit Play. Take #510 Chicago (-4) over Golden State (7:40 p.m., Frida, Jan. 14)
Maybe Klay Thompson should get hurt again. The Warriors have fallen apart over the last week-plus, losing four of hteir last five games. That includes some ugly losses at Dallas, Memphis and Milwaukee. Chicago is coming off a frustrating home loss to Brooklyn and they should be primed for a bounce back. I think this game means more to the Bulls, who are trying to establish themselves at the top of the East. I expect one of their best efforts here.

2-Unit Play. Take #518 Memphis (-2.5) over Dallas (10 p.m., Friday, Jan. 14)
Godless killing machine.
Carpe diem. Good luck.

5 Unit Play. Take #510 Chicago -6.5 over Golden State (7:40 p.m., Friday, January 14)
Golden State has dropped four of their last five, having scored only 96.2 PPG and connecting on only 40% of shot attempts. Off their pathetic first half at Milwaukee last night (outscored 77-38 in the first half), tonight the Warriors will be without Draymond Green (calf), Klay Thompson (rest) and Gary Payton II (back) and others could sit too. Chicago is having an amazing season at 27-12, which is the best record in the Eastern Conference and 3rd overall, however, they are off a humbling 26-point whipping by Brooklyn at home. Look for the Bulls to be ready and they are 11-3 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 9.5 points this season, winning by 9.8 PPG.
Starting to put something together on a 3-1 move and 6-U winner last night.
Good Luck, Let's Roll,
Doug

(Note; I'm well aware of the reports about Michigan HC Howard saying many of his players not making the trip because of covid - yet, I'm still convinced this is overpriced and may get some of his Big Time Recruits (From Top 3 recruiting class) a chance to show off their talents!

3% [NBA] (509) Golden State Warriors at (510) Chicago Bulls

Time: 7:40 PM EST Total Under 224.0 (-110)
Analysis: 3% (510) GOLDEN ST/CHICAGO UNDER 224

Expect a Big effort from Golden St tonight and that starts on the defensive side of the ball as they were embarrassed last night in Milwaukee. Don’t worry about the Warriors playing back to back nights as none of the starters played more than 29 mins as because of the Blowout they were on the bench resting up for tonight. We also have several strong trends supporting the Under:

Key Stat: GOLDEN STATE is 13-3 UNDER after a game where they failed to cover the spread this season.

Key Stat: GOLDEN STATE is 7-0 UNDER off a road loss this season.

Key Stat: GOLDEN STATE is 22-10 UNDER as a road underdog of 6 points or less over the last 3 seasons.

Key Stat: CHICAGO is 25-12 UNDER revenging a loss where opponent scored 110 or more points over the last 2 seasons.

TAKE GOLDEN ST/CHICAGO UNDER 224 as my 3% NBA PLAY

Marco D'Angelo 5% [NHL] (25) Anaheim Ducks at (26) Minnesota Wild

Time: 8:05 PM EST Minnesota Wild -150
Analysis: 5% (26) MINNESOTA -150
Note this game is good to -175 as a 5% Play after that becomes a 4%

Anaheim has been a mess winning just One Game in their L8. Anaheim can not generate any offense as they have scored 2 goals or less in 5 of their L7 Games. Minnesota has played a weird schedule as they had Won 8 in a row before losing 5 in a row only to win 2 in a row again. From Dec 4th thru Jan 8th Minnesota played 10 games all in different cities. They were either on a road trip and came home for one game then right back out for a road game. All that travel I believe led to the 5 game losing streak. Now tonight for the 1st time since Dec 4th they are playing back to back at home and they are rested having not played Since Jan 8th. This I feel will put them on another streak.

Key Stat: Minnesota is 14-3 on Fridays the L3 Years

Key Stat: Minnesota is 16-3 at home following a game in which they went Under the Total

Key Stat: Minnesota is 23-7 at home following a Win in their Previous game the L2 Seasons

Everything points to a Minnesota Blowout!
