if that's their ranking as well i agree w/ ND ranking, just don't want to let the cat out the bag.. (some early ranks have them top 25-30)...

good to see or st and bc in top 25
s fla should be ahead of pitts
agree with bunching of illinois, nw, mich st, and indy (61-67), but think minny will be below them and not ahead of them (48)
g tech too high, but i do think they can surprise in weak conference, but shouldn't be ahead of bc
agree with miami oh rebounding in mac

can't wait until toe meets leather...

Aha! Note my Pac-10 brethren where UCLA may be found on the list. Their defense may be eclipsed only by the Trojans... and maybe not even that! The team is loaded with senior talent and returns a bonafide defense that is capable of stopping anyone. Now with Olson healthy for a full season, you might see a 2nd Pac-10 BCS team in the works here. The Bruins should be very convincing this season. They need to straighten things when it comes to Cal and they are in. They should mow through the rest except for the cross town game with USC where they are owed some revenge. Other than that, they will make believers out of many by W6 when they destroy ND.

"My Pac-10 brethren"? And you expect anyone to consider your opinion objective and unbiased?

Pags,

Last season, OC Jim Svboda did all the play calling from the sidelines. Svoboda was a disaster. Now Dorrell hires Jay Norvell, an ex Nebraska OC who I think will take on that responsibility. Just FYI. Dorrell does manage to surround himself with a good staff so we have to see what develops. He's gotten himself a one-year extension on his contract if you are interested to know... which puts him on the watch list... again.

conan, I so want to believe in Dorrell as a coach, but I just can't...I do pick my spots with him though (like +14 at Notre Dame), but for the most part this guy will just fuck you in the ass everytime...I do appreciate all of the info. you share with me regarding him, but I just can't buy into the hype...for a guy that spent a couple four years under Newheisel and didn't even really have a passion to coach until a short time ago, I'm just not sold on this dude...
