By Henry's loss being whatever, did you mean the Titans offense will turn into whatever?

My read on Tenn has been pretty good this year. At least in the contest. Hou was just a flat spot for them after playing 5 or 6 straight playoff teams. Easy to look at Hou def numbers and say they're shit but a large part of that has been the off putting them into bad field position. They're much closer to being league avg then they are terrible on that side of the ball.
With Henry going down there were 2 directions for them to go. 1 they continue to roll out a run heavy approach on early downs. Foreman, McNichols, AP don't have the same talent as Henry. 2 they increase passing on early downs. Tannehill has proven that he be effective throwing the ball in obvious passing situations. My thought was towards the latter. They don't need these guys to be Derrick Henry. The loss impacts them from the sense that defenses don't need to key in on the run and continually stack 8/9 guys in the box. They're passing more but are still top 10 in early down run rate which is pretty nuts considering they weren't overly effective running the ball with one of the best RBs in the league and having a banged up OL.
I think you are underrating the efficiency of Henry based on a small sample, many of those games he played in this year his volume was just absurd and many of them the Titans were without 1-2 of their top WRs. The 25 games or so previous to this year being relevant.
I don't really think Hou was a flat spot (I don't tend to believe people can't gauge motivation very well in general though), I just think losing to bad teams is in their range of outcomes much more now. They played Trevor Simien last week, not like they were coming off the superbowl.

I think that you're gonna find that losing Henry was huge for Tenny. He opened the passing game because opposing teams had to cram the box. He still carried the load and eventually wore out the will of opposing defenders.
But the underside to Henry is that with ball control, Tenny was able to keep their defense rested on the bench.
It's clear that the guys who replaced Henry are incapable of filling his big shoes.
So his loss means that both the offense and defense both suffer.
The New England line is up to 5'. I think the Pats will expose Tenny's (sans Henry) weaknesses.
