I don't really follow CFB and this is a casual fan opinion but I dunno how they could ever go to an 8 team playoff.

The 4 teams generates so much discussion and polarization, should it be Cincy? should it be OSU? Should it be UMass? This team beat that team, but they lost to this team, but 7 weeks ago their QB was coked out of his mind you can't count that etc etc

In every other sport you know who moves on? who wins the previous week/game or qualifies via record

8 would be good with home field in first round.

Alabama is off a tough game and OT and Georgia is superior
