That's false. My main point in this thread was just speculation. Speculation of the Feds getting involved in Crypto at some point can be neither proven nor disproven. And if you think many aren't using Crypto out there to bypass being tracked due to criminal activity, then I think you are very naive. The "haven for criminal activity" was in quotes for a reason. It doesn't matter what you or I think, it matters what government will use as an excuse. Thus the quotes.

​Well, yes. To a point. Small cash transactions are not currently tracked. But banks do track larger deposits. Nothing like that is being tracked currently with crypto as far as government regulations. So in that sense, you are wrong.

Every single transaction in bitcoins history is recorded no matter how big or small.
The government has ways of finding the wallet address from the sender and receiver and and know who both parties are .


Bitcoin is on a blockchain owned my nobody .

Its is not speculation when I say the United States government cannot shut Bitcoin down .
They can possibly make it illegal to own but they can never shut down Bitcoin itself .

Ok, well that’s semantics then. In my response I clarified and said shut it down and/or control it.

If it’s deemed illegal by the Feds, that’s basically shutting it down. Law abiding citizens will not risk years in prison to continue dealing in Bitcoin.

It's pretty simple to trace BTC transaction. You need wallet tumblers and all that but still no certainty it's non traceable. There are better options for anonymous payments like Monero.

In addition Republican Presidents have destroyed economies and left them in major recessions. HW, W and Trump while the Dems with Clinton and Obama have to come in to rescue it from ruins and then the Republican President that follows tries to take credit it was their doing when in actuality it was handed to them on a silver platter.
