Taysom Hill is better than 2020 Drew Brees

No disrespect to Drew Brees and an incredible career, but Taysom Hill is the best QB on the Saints right now, even with a healthy Brees in 2020. He's got a strong arm and is hard to tackle when he tucks and runs.

At worst, he stumbles a bit out the gate due to nerves, but I expect they'll let him run the ball a bit and knock the nervousness right out of him.

Breakout game for the kid today imo

It only matters if Winston comes into the game. He's fucking garbage. Hill is the future of the franchise and has shown several flashes of greatness as a change-of-pace back that is a legitimate threat on the ground, and has a strong, accurate arm.

I hope the moment isn't too big for him today, but I think the Saints witness the return of the long ball with Hill slinging it back there.

I think Sean Payton is playing the head games. Winston probably plays the majority of the game. Hill just used more often than normal. Hills value is in the change of pace style, as an every play take the snap qb I don’t think he can do it.

A 30 yr old with 2 rebuilt legs, little accuracy and limited experience playing qb (37 games in 5 years at buy) at any level starting his first NFL game. Should be fun. He is Tebow with some arm strength.

Those rebuilt legs can run. He's a big bull who those dbs don't want to tackle. And that arm is strong. He's been sitting behind Drew Breeze. Not gonna get any starts unless Drew can't play.

Not sure how accurate his arm is but the few passes I've seen him throw, that arm has been very accurate. But the game will be different as an every down QB. Hope Payton doesn't get cute and gives Taysom all the snaps. WE'll see.

If Tebow can do it, Taysom Hill certainly can. Like Tebow, I believe Hill has that competitive drive that refuses to let his team lose. Now that he has a chance, I think he's going to go gangbusters. If the open read isn't there, he's going to tuck & run. Hopefully he can make some throws on the run, ala Wilson.

Shefter reported that Payton wants to know what he has in the guy they just payed 21 mil for, & this is the perfect opportunity. Weak "D", @ hm, w/a capable backup if he really struggles. Let's not forget he has Kamara in the backfield too.

Taysom Hill is not a true QB...he's a gimmick QB that's good for certain plays designed for him...He's better than Brees??? LOL!! You put Hill as the main starter give defensive coord's 2 weeks and they'll figure out ways to stop him. He's a gimmick QB in this league period! Winston is more a true QB than Hill hands down there is no comparison. I absolutely love what Hill brings to the table for the plays designed for him, but he's not true starting QB

I'm sure Hill will do well today if he plays....my point is put him as the consistent starter week after week it won't work. These running gimmick QB's don't last in this league...when there's film to watch D coord's figure out ways to slow them down and disrupt their game in time. Lamar Jackson perfect example his numbers have fallen off drastically. Mahomes? No....he's a true pocket QB. Payton knows this...he knows Winston is the possible next QB he'll be working with and Hill will remain with the role he's had coming in for gimmick plays for chunks of yards which works well

Taysom Hill is a RB playing QB. Winston isn't the answer either. The Saints would still be better off with an aging Drew Brees at QB.

Gotta eat some crow here. Though a small sample size, last year Taysom did look better and showed alot of promise compared to the aging Drew Brees during his final year.

Agree with you though it makes more sense to put Taysom in as RB/TE who is a threat to throw the ball on occasion. He did look good running the pill though.
