I know it's a little early, but already going back n forth on this......thoughts appreciated

Need to fill 1 RB spot.....

Aaron Jones....AT Chicago....projection 9.2
David Montgomery....HOME Green Bay....projection 10.2

Jones was a high pick for me....I know usually the rule of thumb is always ride your top RB's, but off hand the match up stinks for Jones this week. Both RB's should have a lot of touches and targets I would suspect. I've learned many times overthinking match ups is overrated as most of the time when it looks bad for a player they usually step up. Maybe give the edge to Montgomery being at home and GB installing a brand new offense could start out a little slow

Jones...you drafted him high. First game of year, you never ever know what will take place. Bears offense likely to turn the ball over a couple of times as well that may set up a short field.

Thanks for the reply.....as of now I got Jones in there....what makes you feel Bears will turn the ball over like that? Have you heard good things about the Packer D?

Anyone else with thoughts?? Still a little torn, but leaning Jones....Aaron Rodgers on prime time games always seems to play well and makes everyone around him better. I know Packers are going to try and establish the run big time this season with the new offense so Jones should get his share. Bears do have new def coord maybe they'll be a little different this season....

oh yeah , out of 16 games, Bears gave up over 100 yards rushing 4 times!!! i Doubt week 1 this year would be a big rushing day for GB

Solid points....solid....that defense scares me. Any other match up I'd go Jones, but this one sucks. I can see CHI getting out to a lead also and Pack having to pass more than they want to

Ok one more.....Baker Mayfield or Kyler Murray Week 1.....I drafted Baker as my main starter got Murray as back up late.....both QB's have hard match ups this week. Titans play very slow offense that looks like a defensive game not a fantasy friendly match up. Murray vs Detroit at home is tough...Lions will always be more defensive with Patricia D line pretty solid while O line for Zona is shaky....BUT we don't know what to expect from Murray! He could be running for his life all game OR be the fantasy stud he could be eventhough they might be losing he'll put up good fantasy numbers. Initially was just going to stick with Baker because we don't know what to expect from Zona yet.....I can see an average fantasy day from Baker nothing too crazy maybe 2TD's 1 INT...220 yards passing something like that. Thoughts??????

Baker projection is 16.4
Murray projection is 17.7

I like Bakers Week 2 match up vs the Jets! Jets secondary and corner backs are not good I think he's gonna light them up! This week 1 match up vs TEN looks to be much tougher

I don't know who's making those projections but Baker was solid as a rookie last year and picked up Odell Beckham to help the cause. THat should be an explosive offense. And Tennessee doesn't scare me at all.

Murray is a crap shoot at this point.

No brainer for me.

You're right....overthinking these things big time....and CLE is at home....Sticking with Baker keeping Murray on the sidelines let's wait and see

Also going with Montgomery at home.....not only does Jones have tough match up, but I have a feeling we'll see Jamaal Williams in there stealing touches more than Jones owners want to see. Multiple legit fantasy sites I've read have Jones as a "bust" fantasy candidate this week also...I'll pass maybe go back to him Week 2

Either way got screwed....putrid game for fantasy purposes....one take away it's very very concerning the usage of Montgomery was NOT THERE! He barely played the entire game. All Cowen and Mike Davis...who?? I think it'll be some weeks before we see Montgomery's potential, so be cautious with him in your lineup until then This was an absolute horrific game plan by Matt Nagy and Trubisky is garbage
