Western Michigan has had an extra week to prepare for this game.

Ball St has a chance to win the MAC and play in front of reps from the Fiesta Bowl as well as other bowls.

It's a huge game for both schools.

Never tease college games, particularly from outside of BCS conferences. The MAC is the biggest crap shoot out there.

i hear ya....but to go wrong with WMU getting over 21pts just doesn't seem likely to me. if 10.5 seems decent to me...21 is just a gift - to be teased with a thursday NFL game, of course

B10 Dom Is Right

DON'T tease CFB, but you will! If you must, do it in the NFL thru the "key" #'s.

Im leaning to WMU as well. I don't know if they can win it, but I can get 11.5pts right now and that's a lot. Esp if I tease them AND the total. Then it's WMU +17.5 over 48/under 60

The play in this game is WMU (1st Half). Let the BSU line keep climbing and get a favorable line on the 1st half. WMU has had 10 days to prepare, they have the offense to score, and if they're blown out in the 1st half, they probably don't cover the game. Hiller will get them some points, and a typical "feel-you-out" conservative gameplan to start should keep the points lower in the 1st half. BSU is a 2nd half team, been that way all yr.

Sorry, but your logic doesn't apply. If WMU is down 7 at the break you lose the 1st half, but they probably won't cover?

Are you serious with this logic?

Also, the game line will fall between 10 and for the sake of arguement 12. You are going to get a 1st half line somewhere between 5-6.5, while 6.5 is a solid number, it is far from safe number.

There are pros and cons about this game.

WMU:
Beat Ball St. they get to play for the conference title against
Buffalo and get everyone to stop talking about Ball St.
Also, they have had one week to rest up.

Ball St:
At home, where they have beat everyone in double digits,
Heck they beat all teams except CMU more than 11 points.

I personally think by looking at the margins and the stats
offensive/defensive stats and home field advantage that
Ball St. will win ATS in this contest. What do you think?

Over is the best play in my opinion

Weather could be a factor:

I like WMU.

They're the 3rd best team in the conference (behind Ball St. and CMU), and in such an important game like this one, double-digits seems like too much. Hiller is a pretty good QB, and he's got some weapons around him...no fewer than Nate Davis does IMHO.

Probably gonna take WMU, tease WMU and the over, and throw a couple bucks on WMU ML.

WMU is average on the road against decent teams. if ball state's defense can stall them on a couple drives, ball st wins in a blowout. wmu cannot stop the pass

Two of the RBs Western Michigan likes to use, Brandon West (starter) and Glenis Thompson are questionable.

The main reason I like WMU in this game is they were able to beat a very talented Illinois team. While their defense isn't lights out, Illinois is still a Big Ten defense...Ball State is a MAC defense. Ball State got exposed by LeFevour and the CMU offense on the defensive side of the ball. It seemed as though every 3rd and 6 or 3rd and more CMU got into, they were able to convert. Hiller isn't a mobile QB like LeFevour but he can bombard that secondary. There were plays against CMU where the Ball State D was frozen and let up big pass plays.

Western Michigan D has had time to prepare for Davis and Lewis and that will be the main storyline tonight. If Lewis can dominate the Western Michigan D like he did CMU...Ball State will win by DD. He does such an amazing job controlling the clock and setting the tempo and if it wasn't for two shoe string tackles with CMU, Ball would've been up 21-7 in the first half.

Are you serious with this logic?

Also, the game line will fall between 10 and for the sake of arguement 12. You are going to get a 1st half line somewhere between 5-6.5, while 6.5 is a solid number, it is far from safe number.

My logic makes perfect sense. Ball St is a 2nd half team. If they are up 7-10 points at half, good friggen luck trying to cover the full game spread against them. Go back and look at their results and compare their 1st half scoring to their 2nd half scoring. I have WMU+6.5 in the first half off a good amount of rest.

i still think Ball State is an overrated team. Their QB is great but playing primetime, they have been playing like shit the impression that they gave to the public is simply false. Without thier high powered QB, they wouldnt even be ranked.
