Florida +5.5

Two words: Vanessa Hayden

I don't see Baylor stopping this woman. She is the best center in the women's game & some consider her the woman version of Shaq. She should be the #3 pick in the WNBA draft.

I watched both teams play & Florida looked more impressive, & played a better team then Baylor did. Baylor was taking to the limit against an ok Loyola Marymount team while Florida imo easily defeated New Mexico in a game that isn't as close as that score indicates.

This also is a big revenge spot for the Gators as Baylor came down to Gator country & beat them by 17. Vanessa was the only Gator who showed up that night as she scored 26 of their 54 points in that game as the Gators as a whole shot a horrific 26.9%

I think they come out with a purpose tomorrow & win by 7-10 points.

Stanford +2.5

Oklahoma is overrated imo. This team looked horrible barely beating a very overmatched Marist team. I also am fading the Big 12 as quite frankly these lines are flat out ridiculous. Oklahoma better watch out as if they don't shut down Nicole Powell, Stanford will run them off the court. The Cardinals win by 7-10 & keep proving why they were underseeded.

Warning watch out for Kansas State as they look like a good go against in the 2nd rd. They have the talent to win it all but they lack a killer instinct. They talk about wanting to show the world something yet can't put a team away. These women lack that killer instinct & won't go very far in this tournament.

I like Houston alot tonight. They opened as a 1 point favorite & are now 1.5 point underdogs. I'm not letting the line movement change my mind on who I think wins this game. My personal line on this game is Houston -5 so getting even a point is a bonus to me.

Sometimes these tourney games can be tricky when it comes to capping them as alot of these teams have never met but a big key I look at is the quality of competition each team has faced & Houston imo wins this catagory hands down.

Lets be frank here, UCSB has a great record but look at who they have played. They have a very high RPI & it is because of the cupcakes they have faced. Going by own numbers, the Gauchos have faced only 10 teams in the top 100 (including their rd 1 game) & have gone 5-5. They have been awesome at home but I find most of the teams they faced there quite suspect. They are getting alot of respect for that ass whooping they put on Colorado on Saturday but I'm not buying into it. They also come out of a weak conference where only one other team has a winning record so you know their record is quite padded.

The Cougars won't be intimidated by the Gauchos & their home court advantage. They play in a much tougher conference & have beaten some damn good teams this season from within their conference & out. They are battle tested especially of late where they have beaten a # of teams who qualified for the tournament including Depaul & Marquette (twice within the last month). I think they control this game from start to finish & win comfortably by 10-12. The Gauchos won't have the luxury of a team shooting .286 again & trust me their defense isn't that good.

This line has had me wondering since I saw it came out. It has bounced up & down since it came out. TC is the arguably the hottest team in the country coming into this tournament as they hold the nations longest winning streak at 27 games including their 1st round win over Rutgers & has won 17 in a row at home which is where they have the luxury of playing tonight.

I admit they don't play in the toughest conference or has faced much quality competition but I like to see a team that wins as that does count for something. I can't say their whole schedule has been a joke as they did face a few quality teams which consisted of Louisville, Mississippi, & Tennessee. They finished 2-1 with their only loss coming against Tennessee in what was a closer game then the score indicates.

One thing I really like seeing is the fact that TC has faced 2 SEC teams so they won't be intimidated by a team from a power conference as they held their own against the SEC splitting their 2 games with the one win coming at home. They also faced a good Louisville team who comes from a very underrated Conf USA, a conference I'm a big believer in.

The big factor that has me backing TC is the fact they have balanced scoring. They showed this element in round 1 where they beat a good Rutgers team by having a total team effort. They had 5 players in double figures on Saturday.

If Vandy looks past these Lady Mochs for even a minute, they will get bit in the ass & I think in the end these Lady Mochs will pull off the upset by 5-7 points.

I disagree on your last 2 plays. Nashville to Chatanooga is much of a drive, Vandy is a tough sec team, and Chat had a nice draw in 1st round, but Rutgers is poorly coached and not very good. UCSB is very well coached and Houston struggled with a white team in Greenbay for 30 minutes, the Thunderdome will be out of control tonight. Yes UCSB played in a weak confrence but they beat everybody by 40 at home. If you like Houston I would wait for halftime as they have been a 2nd half team this year.

I passed on the 2 above.

My 4 plays are GA,Stanford,FLa,LA Tech. Im going against the big 12 which went 0-4 ats in rnd 1. Im not sure how good Baylor is, but am confident on the other 3. LMU was playing great at the end of the year. Marsha Sharp is lousy coach.

GL on your plays. I love Stanford & Florida as those were my first two plays. Unfortunately when ML's became available on Stanford, the line had dropped some.

I know the Gauchos are tough at home but they beat up on patsies for the most part & I think that record is suspect & I'm not buying the hype of them beating up on Colorado. I should slap myself for even betting on that overrated team considering I faded every other Big 12 team to the window.

You know how I feel about Conf USA & nothing changes here. The conference is an underrated one that has shown it can play with the big women of the world. Depaul is one of the leaders in the conference & has the metal to hang around with the Lady Vols.

Depaul has a good advantage as this of course isn't the first tough test they have faced all season but they have also played Tennessee this season & took them to OT where they eventually fell by 7.

The Blue Deamons didn't enter the tourney on a strong note as they lost their last 4 coming into it but they corrected alot of their problems in the thrashing they gave to George Washington in Rd 1.

The Blue Deamons know they can hang with the Lady Vols which is a big positive for them & they know they can score as they lead the nation in scoring. They can match the Lady Vols score for score & I think this game will stay tight throughout & they are more then capable of pulling the upset.

Tennessee Chattanooga +4 2nd H

The Lady Mochs didn't play their best game in the 1st H but hung around with Vandy. Vandy took a slight advantage of the Mochs being without their best player for a few minutes as she had an asthma attack. The Lady Mochs also aided Vandy by committing untimely turnovers & shooting only 32% while Vandy shot 51% in the 1st H. If the Lady Mochs can stop Vandy in the paint (mostly C. Thomas) & up their shooting %, they should be able to pull the upset. C. Thomas for Vandy has been their best player but already has 2 fouls so hopefully she gets into more foul trouble which would be very helpful.

Under 67 Boston College-Ohio State

These two teams shot very well in the 1st H as Ohio State shot 52% while BC shot 41%. I think Ohio State comes down to earth & BC stays about even & these two teams put up about 60-63 pts in the 2nd H.

Boston College +3.5 2nd H

I like the way the Eagles played in the 1st H. They got outshot by the Buckeyes but withstood their shooting punch as well as the crowds to come out with a lead at HT. I think OSU's shooting comes back down to earth in the 2nd H & the Eagles will pull away & win by 5-7 points. If this stays a nip & tuck game all the way to the end, I like my chances with BC as they are getting to the line more & are hitting their FT's. BC is 7-11 at the line while OSU is 1-5. Those #'s won't get it done at crunch time.

Amazing that BC was +220 when they would beat this team 9 out 10 of times.

Florida -1.5 2nd H

Florida -2 -105 2nd H

I know what the score is of the Fla-Bay game but the Bears are shooting lights out & have benefited from the Gators foul trouble. The Bears have a big lead because of two words: Vanessa Hayden. She had foul trouble & was out for an extended period of time & that is when Baylor went on its huge run. Things will change in the 2nd H as Baylor won't shoot 61% in the 2nd H & they won't have chip shots inside the paint uncontested. I still like Florida to win this game.

Depaul -1.5 2nd H

Depaul got shot out of the building as they got one of their main players Patterson in foul trouble early. Once she got into foul trouble, they had to change their defense & Tennessee shot the lights out. The Lady Vols are shooting 51% in the 1st H while the Blue Deamons are shooting a horrific 25%. The Blue Deamons will come to play in the 2nd H & tighten this game up.

EGD,

Baylor is shooting lights out because they have been getting nothing but breakaway layups. I think Vanessa Haden is a fat pig, and I think coach Peck was stupid for having her on the bench with 2 fouls for the last 9 minuntes.

Tenn +2

50-24 at half, I think the line should have been 40 on this as Depaul is settling for 30 footers and then Vols run by them for layups.

Baylor +2.5 for me 2nd half, even if Fla makes a mini run the will give it right back. I think Baylor has the best player on the floor with that gliding sophmore from Louisiana
