Types of Contests & Games

There are two main types of contests at OwnersBox:

Tournaments: If you take part in a tournament, you will receive a $200,000 budget to draft a 10-man lineup and compete for a guaranteed prize pool. In general, around 25% of entrants in these public contests receive a payout. Prizes are paid at the end of these seven-day contests. Head-to-head Contests: These contests take place over a span of one to four weeks, depending on the number of teams. At the start of the contest, you will take part in a snake draft, which will be familiar to anyone that plays season-long fantasy sports. This ensures that there is no overlap between the players selected. In a one-week contest, there is a winner-takes-all prize. The two-week, three-week, and four-week contests follow a single elimination bracket format, with the winner each week receiving a prize and moving on to the next round. The overall contest winner takes home the majority of the pot, which is compiled via contest entry fees.

You can also take part in fun Lightning Lineup contests, which are quick and simple. There are private contests too, plus sponsored contests, beginner-only contests, OwnersBucks contests and group contests.
