Jock MKT Review
Jock MKT, pronounced “jock market,” is a cross between a daily fantasy sports operator and a stock exchange. You can buy and sell shares in players, who are then ranked according to their real-world player performance stats. At the end of each contest, you will win real cash prizes in line with the number of shares you hold.
Our Jock MKT Stock Exchange review highlights the key ways in which this intriguing operator differs from traditional daily fantasy sports apps. We will explain how to buy stocks of players, detail the sports covered, break down the contests on offer and delve into the bonuses and banking methods Jock MKT provides.
How does Jock MKT work?
Jock MKT’s brand is a play on the stock market; you buy and sell jocks as opposed to stocks. It was created by a Boston-based group of traders, analysts, poker players and sports bettors, who wanted to blend their interests into a novel take on fantasy sports. There are two types of games at Jock MKT:
• Contest | This is like a poker tournament. The entry fee for each player is the same, and you all receive the same number of chips. The players with the most chips at the end of these DFS-style contests win the largest prizes.
• Market | This is similar to a poker cash game. You can invest as much or as little cash as you want. Each transaction represents real money. Your profit or loss is determined by the change in value of the stocks of players you own – just like going long or short on the stock market. Users can buy in for as little as $10 or as high as $10,000, and you can cash out while the game is taking place.
It all begins with an IPO – an initial player offering, as opposed to an initial purchase offering – in which fantasy players can bid for shares in certain players. The IPO stage ends 30 minutes before the first game, and then the trading stage begins; fantasy players can place bids for shares and they are released to the highest bidders on Jock MKT’s player share trading platform.
Traditional fantasy scoring then determines the eventual ranking of each player. For example, in an NHL event, a player earns 8.5 points for a goal, 5 points for an assist, 1.5 points for a shot on goal and so on. You can buy and sell shares in players throughout the contest or market event.
In a market event, if the shares you own are worth more than the price you paid, you win money. If the shares are worth less, then you lose money. There is also the option to short a player, whereby the daily fantasy player can profit if his value decreases. If you are in a contest format, top prizes are paid out based on the number of chips each player holds at the end. Each player has a guaranteed payout, so you will always receive a return.
Jock MKT’s Available Sports
Jock MKT is a relative newcomer to the market, so this player trading platform offers limited options for sports markets compared to some rivals. However, the most popular leagues and events are covered:
- NFL
- NBA
- MLB
- NHL
- PGA Tour
- NASCAR
The scoring is different for each league or sport. The NFL has the longest list of stats, whereas there are just four for NASCAR drivers.
Trade Stocks of Players in Real Time
The Jock MKT Stock Exchange player trading platform allows you to buy and sell stocks of players in real-time. In that regard, it is just like a traditional stock exchange during trading hours. The number of shares available on each player is dynamic, following a formula designed to balance supply and demand.
Co-founder Tyler Carlin came up with the idea on a Sunday afternoon, when he watched on powerlessly as the quarterback he selected for his daily fantasy team was taken off with a torn ACL. He conceived Jock MKT as a daily fantasy sports marketplace where even novice users can stay in the game. If your QB is injured, the market format allows you to quickly sell his shares and switch your allegiance to another player, bidding for shares in that new player in an attempt to win cash prizes.
This adds an exciting dimension to the action at Jock MKT. User trading activity drives the in-game prices. The prices on shares of players update based on new user offers, plus recently completed trades, just like traditional stocks. The system will match bids from buyers with asks from sellers in real time based on the best available price.
Banking Options on Jock MKT
The options for payment are limited on Jock MKT. You can use credit cards or debit cards to deposit funds at this player trading platform. Visa and MasterCard are both accepted. Players can alternatively use PayPal.
The low minimums offered make up for the limited options for banking, though. The minimum deposit is $20, and so is the minimum withdrawal. Deposits are instant at Jock MKT, and there are no banking fees charged. You can get paid out via an eCheck if you win prize money. Other withdrawal options will hopefully be added in the future. The processing time on payouts is around five days.
The Jock MKT Signup Bonus & Other Promo Codes
You will receive a 100% deposit match bonus worth up to $250 when you sign up at Jock MKT and make a qualifying first-time deposit. Just click our link to claim the offer. As previously mentioned, the minimum deposit is $20. Your funds will arrive instantly, and you will then be awarded the Jock MKT deposit bonus credit.
This new player offer has a 5x release requirement. They will be credited to your account within 24 hours of meeting the 5x criteria and you will need to play them through too before you can make a request for withdrawal.

Jock MKT presents daily fantasy sports in a stock market format. The final player rankings determine the payout on each share held. For example, if the first place is worth $25 per share and you own 10 shares in that player, you win $250.
Jock MKT is indeed based on real-world player performances. Fantasy points are awarded based on stats; Jock MKT DFS will rank the players at the end of the event, and your shares in a particular player will result in a payout according to their position.
These are initial offers that allow you to bid for a limited number of shares of players. The prices per player share will be updated in real-time and distributed to the winning bidders. You can sell those shares at any time, and they will determine your final payout.
Jock MKT is not an online sportsbook. It is a cross between a fantasy sports provider and a stock market, which gives it a point of difference to real money DFS operators like DraftKings and FanDuel. Jock MKT is available in more states than an online sportsbook.
