You will often be presented with a range of withdrawal options when it is time to request a payout from a sportsbook. They might include an online bank transfer, ACH/e-check, Play+, PayPal, Skrill, and cash at the casino cage. Which one is the quickest?

A Play+ Card

Signing up for a branded Play+ card is typically the quickest way to get paid out from an online sportsbook. You can generally sign up within the sportsbook app or website, or you will be directed to a site to register. You will be sent a physical card, but you will also be given the details to use while waiting for it to arrive.

A Play+ card can be used for instant deposits and withdrawals at an online sportsbook. Most of the leading sports betting operators in the United States provide their own Play+ cards. The funds will arrive in your sports betting account immediately if you make a deposit using Play+.

If you use it for a withdrawal, you will have to wait for the online sportsbook to process and approve your payout request. This is necessary for all withdrawals, regardless of which payout method you choose. Some sportsbooks process and approve payout requests in a matter of minutes, whereas others can take up to 72 hours to do so. Bet365 is renowned for processing requests very quickly, for example.

Once the request is approved, your funds will arrive instantly via Play+, whereas other methods are slower. You will often have to wait an additional 2-5 business days for an ACH/e-check, while a paper check can take up to 14 days.

The funds will go into your Play+ account. You can use it at any ATM that accepts Discover cards to withdraw cash. You can also use it at a variety of retailers, or you can transfer the funds to your standard bank account.

E-Wallets

E-wallets like PayPal and Skrill are often the next best option if you want to get paid out quickly. Once the payout request has been approved, the funds should arrive in your PayPal account within half an hour, or perhaps a couple of hours at particularly busy times.

Just bear in mind that there can be some costs associated with using e-wallet providers such as PayPal, Skrill, and Neteller.

Cash at the Cage

You can also get paid out in cash at the casino cage in many states. You will need to visit a casino that has teamed up with the online sportsbook. In some cases, it is obvious. For example, if you are in New Jersey, you can go to Caesars Atlantic City to get paid out by Caesars Sportsbook or visit the FanDuel Sportsbook at the Meadowlands for a payout.

In other cases, it is not quite as obvious. For example, you can go to the Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City to request a cash payout.

This is obviously only a good solution if you live near a land-based casino or a retail sportsbook. You should also contact customer service in advance to warn them that you will be heading to the cage to request a payout. Some sportsbooks need considerable advance notice, so it is always best to check.

Crypto

Some sportsbooks will provide rapid payouts if you select a cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, or Ether as your withdrawal method. However, no regulated sportsbooks in the United States offer crypto payouts.

If you see crypto listed, chances are you have landed on the website of an offshore sportsbook. These sites are unlicensed and best avoided.
