UFC in Vegas 20 Main Card Picks

Ciryl Gane vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik

UFC Heavyweight Main Event Bout

I do not pose to the words to describe my anticipation for this main weekend event, and attempting to decide on a prediction has become a burden. Two high-level heavyweight strikers will try to put the other into an unconscious state from the bell.

Ciryl Gane, with an extensive background in Muay Thai striking, has transitioned to MMA in recent years and dominated the opposition.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik is also a UFC newcomer with an extensive background in kickboxing; both men have competed a mere seven times between them inside a UFC octagon and will now attempt to claim the higher ranking.

Given both parties’ knockout ability, I expect hesitancy to play its part and draw the fight above the seven-minute timer.

UFC Best Bet: Over 1 ½ round @ -200 with William Hill [2u returns 1u profit]

UFC in Vegas 20 Co-Main Event Prediction

Nikita Krylov vs. Magomed Ankalaev

UFC Heavyweight Bout

Saturday, February 27, 2021 –  11:30 PM EST at Apex Center

Props to Dana White and the UFC matchmaking team because this fight card is incredible, including the co-main scrap between top light heavyweight contenders Ankalaev and Krylov.

The Ukrainian native Krylov is a tough matchup for anyone, and although complete dominance has been the current motto for the Russian, we cannot overlook the skillset of Krylov.

Both are former champions in their respective regional scene MMA companies, and they both have the capabilities of achieving similar results in the UFC.

The precise, powerful striking of Ankalaev is hard to ignore, Krylov should be looking for a takedown in this fight, and we believe he’ll struggle to find it – leaving him victim to the high output striking of the Russian.

UFC Best Bet: Magomed Ankalaev to win by KO/TKO @ -120 with BetOnline [1.20u returns 1u profit]

Pedro Munhoz vs. Jimmie Rivera

UFC Bantamweight Bout

Saturday, February 27, 2021 –  09:00 PM EST at Apex Center

It’s hard to envision a different outcome during this fight than in comparison to their first encounter.

Rivera and Munhoz first fought during their early stints inside the UFC, and a younger, less experienced Rivera was able to come out on top. And since this first encounter, not a lot has changed for Munhoz besides his willingness to stand and trade – which is excellent for evolution purposes but neglecting his best weapon (BJJ) has seemingly cost him consecutive defeats.

Rivera tends to utilise his leg-kicks more often than the first fight, something we should expect more of this time around. I believe Rivera’s speed advantage, output, and confidence will assist him in claiming another three-round, unanimous decision victory.

UFC Best Bet: Jimmie Rivera to win by dec @ +100 with Bet365 [1u returns 1u profit]

Angela Hill vs. Ashley Yoder

UFC Women’s Strawweight Bout

Saturday, February 27, 2021 –  09:00 PM EST at Apex Center

The UFC women’s strawweight division has a plethora of new talent, but one veteran who’s been holding her own for the previous four years (Angela Hill) is returning for yet another fight. Hill’s enthusiasm for taking fights remains; she doesn’t turn one down and is always looking for the next.

Ashley Yoder will be looking to use her grappling offence; Hill’s striking ability will leave her down on the scorecards, so unless she can change levels and make this one an ugly ground war, I don’t fancy her chances of success.

Hill will dictate the pace while standing, striking at range while using a Muay Thai clinch if Yoder wants to enter within range.

UFC Best Bet: Hill to win by decision @ -175 with Bet365 [1.75u returns 1u profit
