Kamaru Usman (C) vs. Colby Covington

UFC Welterweight Championship Main Event Bout

Saturday, November 6, 2021 – 10:05 PM at Madison Square Garden

Kamaru Usman (19-1-0) is the UFCs pound-for-pound greatest, with a thoroughly dominant UFC tenure to back it up. A 13-0 UFC record with four welterweight title defenses has etched the “Nigerian Nightmare” into MMA history books.

Usman’s most challenging foe came in the shape of Colby Covington, the former welterweight interim champion whose heel persona has created a significant amount of animosity with the current champ has continued since their first meeting inside the octagon.

Colby Covington (16-2-0) is not just Usman’s toughest test to date, but also promotors dream when it comes to elevating interest in his bouts.

The American-born wrestling standout has built a strong reputation in the welterweight division through elite-level wrestling, intense output, and endless cardio. Usman put these skills to the test and subsequently handed Covington a technical knockout stoppage, but the contest was a back-and-forth battle before the fights.

Fight Analysis and UFC 268 Betting Prediction

The matchup ahead is undoubtedly a tough test for the defending champion, as proven in the first fight. With that said, it’s difficult to ignore the evolved striking skills of Usman, which have been on display when knocking out Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal.

This matured area of Usman’s skillset is genuinely creating a monstrous knockout artist. Across a twenty-five-minute time limit, I don’t believe that Covington can accept these damaging blows without slowing down and losing rounds.

Because I believe that Covington has the durability to withstand fifteen minutes of punishment, expecting the fight to witness a fourth-round is a perfect wager to place.

Rose Namajunas (C) vs. Weili Zhang

UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship Bout

Saturday, November 6, 2021 – 10:05 PM at Madison Square Garden

Rose Namajunas (10-4-0) delivered a highlight-reel finish that will live on forever when facing Weili Zhang in their previous bout. She emphatically captured the UFC strawweight championship with an impressive high kick knockout. She will attempt to replicate this result when Zhang attempts to reclaim her lost title.

Weili Zhang (21-2-0) became the first-ever Chinese-born UFC champion, and her ceiling of success was predicted to be endless behind such a domineering start to her UFC career.

A well-rounded skillset behind decades of martial arts experience assisted Zhang in defeating the likes of Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Andrade to become the women’s strawweight champion.

Now faced with an immediate rematch following her title loss to Rose Namajunas, Zhang has been fixated on reclaiming the gold she captured within a year of joining the promotion.

Fight Analysis and UFC 268 Betting Prediction

The sleek footwork and movement of Rose Namajunas proved too much for Zhang, without forgetting that Rose owns a submission ability that should worry Zhang about implementing a grappling game plan the second time around.

I think Rose has Zhang’s number, and although I believe that Zhang has the power and technical boxing advantage, the fight IQ of Rose combined with her selection of strikes at range should keep the title around her waist.
