We’ve got six games for Friday night basketball. Here are three NBA picks to consider for tonight’s slate of games. Let’s earn some profit to start the weekend!

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Friday, March 10, 2023 – 07:00 PM EST at Wells Fargo Center

The Portland Trail Blazers have been an exciting team to watch. However, they’re just 31-35 on the season and must play cross-country against the Philadelphia 76ers.

It won’t be easy.

Teams Analysis

Traill Blazers

Portland’s scoring 117.2 points per 100 possessions while giving up an effective field goal percentage of 56.1%. Turnovers can get high, but Portland is aggressive enough to get to the foul line almost at will.

However, the 76ers have limited teams to 113.7 points per 100 possessions. They’ll put the Blazers on the foul line but should ultimately add turnovers and hold them to some harder-quality looks.

Philadelphia 76ers

On the other hand, the 76ers have scored 117.7 points per 100 possessions with an effective field goal percentage of 56.1%.

Philadelphia is the only team getting to the foul line at a higher rate than Portland. The Blazers have given up 117.9 points per 100 possessions and don’t compare to Philadelphia on the defensive end.

The Pick

I’ll take the 76ers to take care of business at home.

NBA Pick: 76ers -8.5 (-110) at BetMGM

Atlanta Hawks vs. Washington Wizards

Friday, March 10, 2023 – 07:00 PM EST at Capital One Arena

The Hawks and Wizards are two teams looking to make a final push in the second half to earn a playoff spot.

We’ll potentially see both teams in the play-in tournament. But you never know.

Teams Analysis

Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks just defeated the Wizards 122-120 in their last game. The offense has been very good. Atlanta limits turnovers and scores above-average points per 100 possessions.

The Hawks typically limit turnovers but don’t get to the foul line much. That should be the case in this game too.

Washington Wizards

The Wizards lost to the Hawks last time, but their offense has been better too. Washington adds 115.4 points per 100 possessions and shoots an effective field goal percentage of 55.6%.

The Hawks, like Washington, are just a below-average defense that doesn’t stand out on paper.

Atlanta allowed 130 points to Miami before playing Washington for context. Miami’s a terrible offense.

The Pick

Let’s take the Over 238 at the best sportsbooks. We’ll get a ton of points like the last game.

NBA Pick: Over 238 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Miami Heat

Friday, March 10, 2023 – 08:00 PM EST at Miami-Dade Arena

Speaking of the Miami Heat, the offense scored just 100 points against Cleveland in their previous game.

Expect the same tonight too.

Teams Analysis

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers added a 104-100 win over the Heat on the road. After winning four of their last five games, they’ve got another road game against Miami.

The Cavaliers will get quality looks from the floor. They’ll be limited everywhere else, but as long as the Cavaliers make their shots from the floor, they’ll be in good shape in tonight’s game.

Miami Heat

The Heat only scored 112.1 points per 100 possessions while shooting an effective field goal percentage of 52.2%.

Both stats are in the bottom five of the league. Miami will get to the line at a higher rate, but the Cavs have done well at least limiting foul shot attempts this season. It’s going to be another lower-scoring game between two quality defenses.

The Cavs should at least hold the Heat from earning a high rate of offensive rebounds, and Cleveland is typically good at earning turnovers, adding 15.9% per game this season.

The Pick

The Heat added 130 against the Cavaliers, as I acknowledged earlier. But overall, Miami’s offense has not played up to par. The depth on this roster is weak, with no real help for Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

Therefore, I’ll rock with the Under 215. It’s a low number for an NBA game, but again, we only saw 204 in the last game, and the Heat aren’t consistent on the offensive end.

It will also be much more challenging trying to score against the Cavaliers. The Heat have added just 87, 100, and 100 in three games against the Cavaliers this season.

NBA Pick: Under 215 (-110) at FanDuel
