An all-new state-of-the-art sports wagering location is being prepared inside the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, as the home of the Cleveland Cavaliers becomes the newest location for a Caesars branded sportsbook location.
On February 24, Caesars Entertainment reported their newest partnership with the Cleveland Cavaliers. This deal sees Caesars become the official sports betting and casino partner of the Ohio-based professional basketball team.
This union will deliver Cleveland fans and sports betting enthusiasts a retail sportsbook within the northwest atrium area of the Cavaliers home court at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
“We’re ready to welcome Ohio sports fans into the Caesars Sportsbook Empire while also making history with our second sportsbooks at an NBA area,” commented the Co-President of Caesars Digital, Chris Holdren.
“Building upon our already established roots with Scioto Downs in Columbus, we’re excited to announce our partnership with the Cavaliers at an exciting time in their franchise’s history. As we prepare to launch sports betting in Ohio later this year, this wide-ranging partnership enables us to connect with the Cav’s passionate and highly engaged fanbase. Caesars Sportsbook at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will be a first-class venue providing an exciting atmosphere for sports betting and more,” Holdren continued.
Caesars Sportsbook plans to construct sports wagering locations for cash bets and incorporate hospitality experiences for those signed up with the Caesars Reward system. The Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is over 10,000 square feet, and the wagering locations will be fully kitted out with bars, VIP lounges, expanded menus, and sports coverage on televisions located throughout. The Cavaliers and Caesars will completely cover funding for the expansion.
Construction plans are set to begin within the next four weeks, and the Caesars Sportsbook will be found on the street level inside the northwest atrium of the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse close to Huron Road and Ontario Street. Plans to keep the sportsbook open all year-round will see the betting location become available for both ticket-holding fans and those without tickets who may want to place wagers on alternative sports. The opening day hasn’t been confirmed but is expected to be up and running before the conclusion of 2022.
The Caesars and the Cavs partnership will also give the sportsbook access to the Cleveland Cavaliers logos, broadcast, and digital content within the Cavaliers property list – including brand recognition during Cavs live games.
Caesars Sportsbook became the first-ever sportsbook at a sports venue in 2021 when they opened their betting windows at the Capital One Arena in Washington. Alongside their deal with the Cavaliers, they’ll also partner with the Arizona Diamondbacks for another live location at the Chase Field in Phoenix.
Legalized online sports betting goes live for the state of Ohio in 2022, and sports fans can make the most of the Caesars Sportsbook app. Special reward and tier credits will be given through a loyalty program, allowing consumers to unlock experiences in conjunction with Caesar’s hospitality and VIP experiences with the likes of the Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
