March means college basketball madness, and PointsBet has you covered. The online sportsbook’s offer of up to $2,000 in risk-free bets for new users has been extended into March.
In addition, PointsBet is offering boosts on single and multi-game parlays with no limits on maximum bet or payout amount.
Two-Part Intro Offer
The risk-free bet is split into two parts to help acquaint users with PointsBet’s unique PointsBetting feature. The first piece is a risk-free fixed odds bet of up to $500.
Fixed odds refer to the classic sports gambling model, including point spread, money line, futures, over/under totals, and teasers.
New users will get reimbursed up to $500 if they lose the first fixed-odds bet that they place. The money can be split up into four ways for future bets.
The second part of the offer is up to $1,500 back if new users lose their first bet using the PointsBetting feature.
This is a high-risk, high-reward method of gambling that increases the amount won or lost based on the margin of victory. As the site boasts, “The more you’re right, the more you win. The more you’re wrong, the more you lose.”
For example, if a user bets $10 on the combined point total of a college conference tournament game being over 160, each point over or under that cutoff multiplies the stake. So, if the game produces 161 points, the user wins $10. 162 points win $20. 170 points would earn $100 (10 point win times $10 stake).
On the other hand, if the game goes under, the user loses their $10 stake for every point under 160. A 155 point game would cost the user $50 (five-point loss times $10). A 140 point game would lose $200 (20-point loss times $10).
Similarly, if a user bets $5 on under 15 points for a college team’s power forward and he scores 10, they win $25 ($5 stake times the 5-point margin of victory). If he scores 30 points, the user loses $75 ($5 stake times the margin of defeat of 15 points).
In a separate promotion, PointsBet is offering Parlay Boosters with no limits. This is a way of automatically increasing your odds on a three-leg parlay bet. PointsBet introduced this concept in 2020, claiming it was the “first of its kind.”
Using it is fairly simple. When you create your own 3+ leg parlay, payout odds will be calculated. Then, simply click on the lightning bolt icon, and the odds will increase.
The fine print is the best part of the Parlay Boost feature. PointsBet boasts that the Parlay Booster has “no limits.” There are no caps on max bet or max payout.
