Two AFC West rivals meet on Monday night after posting big wins in Week 4 to set up the showdown. The Las Vegas Raiders head to Kansas City to face the Chiefs in prime time.

The Raiders beat the Broncos on Sunday to record their first win of the season—and coach Josh McDaniels’s first win since he was fired by Denver more than a decade ago—after an 0-3 start that was the worst in the NFL.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs got back on a winning track with a 41-31 victory over Tampa Bay after taking a shocking loss to the Colts in Week Three.

The Chiefs lead the AFC West Division with a 3-1 record, while the Raiders are in the basement at 1-3. But records can be deceiving when old rivals face off again. Which way to lean at the best sportsbook?

Las Vegas Raiders Analysis After Week 4

Putting Things Together

After losing three straight games by less than one score, the Raiders finally broke through against the Broncos, beating Denver for the fifth straight time.

• Running back Josh Jacobs broke through with 144 yards and 2 touchdowns, becoming the first Raider since 2011 to rush for at least 130 and score twice in a game.

• Davante Adams finally had a big game after arriving in a high-profile off-season transaction. Adams had 9 catches for 101 yards

• Quarterback Derek Carr showed off a new aspect to his game, rushing for 40 yards on 7 carries, a career-high.

• Las Vegas also got its first defensive score in three years when Amik Robertson returned a fumble 68 yards.

The Raiders wanted to play a hard-nosed, old-fashioned game, with an emphasis on the ground game and ball control. “Our goal was to try to make it that kind of game and make it a fourth-quarter game,” McDaniels said.

The Raiders racked up 212 yards rushing, their most in a game since 2016.

What Does This Win Mean for the Raiders?

The win boosted the Raiders’ playoff odds, jumping from 10% before the game, according to, to over 25%. Vegas will look to post an upset over the Chiefs to put the Raiders in an even better spot heading into their Week 6 bye.

Things to Keep in Mind

Las Vegas raised some concerns on special teams, missing an extra point and struggling with a punt return that backed the Raiders up to their goal line on one drive. Vegas also missed on an onside kick, which gave away good field position.

On the injury front, the Raiders will be waiting on the status of linebacker Denzel Perryman, who entered the concussion protocol.

Kansas City Chiefs Analysis After Week 4

Statement Game

The Chiefs got back on the winning track with a victory at Tampa Bay in a rematch of Super Bowl 55. Kansas City recovered a Tampa fumble on the opening kickoff and never looked back. The Chiefs outrushed the Bucs by a 189 to 3 margin, and Patrick Mahomes threw for 3 touchdowns against a Tampa defense that entered the week as the best scoring defense in the NFL.

The Chiefs also got through the game without any major new injuries.

The Only Concern

The biggest question mark appears to be at kicker. Kansas City used its third different kicker of the season as Harrison Butker missed his third straight game with an ankle injury. He was questionable late in the week before getting ruled out for Tampa, so the team holds out hope that he’ll be able to return against the Raiders.

In the meantime, the Chiefs parted ways with Matthew Ammendola after he missed a field goal and extra point in the loss to the Colts. Kansas City signed Matthew Wright, who was perfect on five PATs and 2 field goals on Sunday.

Raiders vs. Chiefs: Pick and Prediction

The Raiders’ newfound old-school style worked against the Broncos, but as the Chiefs showed against a fierce Tampa Bay front seven, it’ll be tougher to push them around.

For your NFL picks, look for Kansas City to continue to roll and short circuit Las Vegas’ ball-control strategy by scoring fast and pulling away.
