NFL Week 2 Best Bets include The Lions, Dolphins, and Colts as Our Favorites

Sunday features a full slate of NFL games, and after researching all of them, we have put together our best NFL bets of Week 2.

Let’s fatten our bankroll and cash all three of our NFL picks

Washington Commanders vs. Detroit Lions

Sunday, September 18, 2022 – 01:00 PM EDT at Ford Field

Detroit rallied from a 17-point deficit before falling to the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-35. Jared Goff passed for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns but it was D’Andre Swift and his 144 rushing yards that kept the Eagles’ defense on their heels throughout the afternoon.

The 23-year-old Georgia product is poised for a breakout campaign, and he will be a load for the Commanders to handle on Sunday.

Speaking of which, Washington won their season-opener, 28-22, over the Jaguars., and Carson Wentz picked up where he left off last season by making several spectacular passes coupled with a fair share of poor decisions.

But the good outweighed the bad and Wentz saved his best for last when he launched a 49-yard touchdown strike to Terry McLaurin and followed that with the game-winning score, a 24-yard pass to Jahan Dotson in the final quarter that wrapped the game for the Commanders.

Commanders vs. Lions: Our Betting Pick

The Lions will be at home for this meeting with Washington and I look for plenty of ground-and-pound with D’Andre Swift running over, through, and around the Washington run-stop unit.

Remember, Chase Young is sidelined for at least four weeks and his absence will be felt in this contest. Let’s lay the small number and watch the Lions roar on Sunday.

Predicted Score: Lions 27 – Commanders 17

Free NFL Pick: Lions -1 ½ (-115) at FanDuel

Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens

Sunday, September 18, 2022 – 01:00 PM EDT at M&T Bank Stadium

Miami continued their dominance of the Patriots in the sun-kissed climes of South Beach by notching a 20-7 win with a solid outing by Tua Tagovailoa, who torched the Patriots’ secondary for 270 yards and a touchdown.

The Dolphins added Tyreek Hill in the offseason and he did not disappoint, with eight receptions for 94 yards, while Jaylen Waddle hauled in four catches for 69 yards and a touchdown.

The Ravens were the only big favorite that avoided getting upset last week and even covered the number as 6 ½ point road chalk, courtesy of a 24-9 win over the Jets. Lamar Jackson was sharp through the air with three touchdown passes and his mobility allowed him more time to target his receivers.

Dolphins vs. Ravens: Our Betting Pick

The oddsmakers are betting that the public won’t flinch in laying the 3 ½ points but that’s too much as far as we are concerned. I wouldn’t be surprised if the sharps took a bite out of this road hound and the line dropped to three at kickoff.

The dual threat of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle will prove too hot to handle for the Baltimore secondary and we wouldn’t be surprised if the Fish won this one outright. But take the points just in case!

Predicted Score: Dolphins 29 – Ravens 27

NFL Pick: Dolphins +3 ½ (-110) at Caesars

Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Sunday, September 18, 2022 – 01:00 PM EDT at TIAA Bank Field

It’s hard to fathom that Matt Ryan launched for 351 yards and the sublime Jonathan Taylor bulldozed his way to 161 rushing yards, but the Colts only managed 20 points and it took them until the fourth quarter to score 17 of them to tie the game and send it into overtime.

Unfortunately, neither the Colts nor the Texans could pull off the win and the Matty Ice era has begun with a whimper rather than a bang.

The Jags let one slip away when they watched a 22-14 fourth-quarter lead dissipate into a 28-22 opening-day loss in front of the fan friendlies. Trevor Lawrence had 275 passing yards and a touchdown as well as an interception. James Robinson had Jacksonville’s only rushing touchdown and had 66 of the team’s 123 rushing yards.

Colts vs. Jaguars: Our Betting Pick

The Colts piled up the stats against a weak team but came out with a tie. What are the chances this happens in consecutive weeks against another cellar-dweller? It’s not likely and I see the Colts running away with this one in Jag-Town.

Predicted Score: Colts 34 – Jaguars 22

NFL Pick: Colts -4 (-110) at BetMGM
