NCAAF Championship Weekend Top Betting Picks: Two Unders to Take Advantage Of

It’s sad to say goodbye to the 2022 college football regular season. Thanks to all those new bettors in the market – and maybe a little luck – this has been an incredibly profitable year for our NCAAF picks. Both our Week 13 top betting picks cashed in, taking advantage of those soft mid-major totals.

This is also a time to be happy, though: Champ Week is here. Even more casual bettors will be paying attention now that conference titles are on the line. Let’s see if we can get some more value out of these NCAAF totals, especially now that the weather’s starting to get nasty.

Utah Utes vs. Southern California Trojans

Friday, December 2, 2022 – 08:00 PM EST at Allegiant Stadium

Weather won’t be a factor for the Pac-12 Championship Game in Las Vegas, but we’re dealing with a fairly chunky total of 68 points on Friday’s NCAAF odds board – although many of the best sportsbooks at TheRX have moved down to 67.5 points or even lower as we go to press.

The Hangover, Part IV

We’re obviously not the only ones hammering the Under for this matchup. The consensus reports show 64% of early bettors in agreement; USC may have the Over at 9-3 this year, but they’ll be dealing with a Utah team that ranks No. 21 on the defensive F+ charts at Football Outsiders.

Friday’s total is also 1.5 points higher than it was in Week 7 when these two teams met at Rice-Eccles Stadium. That game did go Over when Utah won 43-42, but it’s Champ Week now, and the Under is 6-3 in the last nine Pac-12 title games.

Plus, it’s Vegas, baby. Not all the players will be on their best behavior before the game.

Clemson Tigers vs. North Carolina Tar Heels

Saturday, December 3, 2022 – 08:00 PM EST at Bank of America Stadium

Here’s where the December weather comes into play. Saturday’s forecast calls for light rain over Charlotte in the hours leading up to the ACC Championship Game. It should clear up before kick-off, but field conditions will be at least somewhat soggy.

Can Clemson Stop the Tar Heels?

This title game looks and cooks a lot like the Pac-12 matchup. Instead of USC, it’s the Tar Heels (6-6 Totals) bringing the excellent offense and lousy defense; casual bettors love betting the Over with teams like this, which is where we get our value at the NCAAF odds taking the other side.

Clemson (Over 7-5) will supply the No. 19-ranked defense on the F+ charts – but this is also about their No. 39-ranked offense, which just hasn’t been the same since Trevor Lawrence left. Bet accordingly.
