Cleveland is playing some of its best basketball of the season right now, and the Cavs are coming into this one well rested with two nights off while the Knicks are coming off an epic collapse at home against the Heat on Sunday.
The Cavs have covered six of their last seven games, and they even went 2-1 ATS with star Kyrie Irving out of the lineup with wins against the Bulls in Chicago and the Raptors at home. And Irving should be back on the court tonight after missing those three games, and they have a great chance to get a win against a Knicks team that has to be fatigued as this will be their third game in four nights.
The Knicks are not playing anywhere near as well as they were when they started the season, but they are getting the same amount of respect from the oddsmakers. They have only one cover in their last 10 games. And, although they have had some tough games in there, it has been a mostly easy schedule.
With the fatigue factor for the Knicks and the way the Cavs have been playing (not to mention the boost they will get from having Irving back on the floor), we think this line should be closer to ‘pick,’ and we think there is a great chance this one goes down to the final shot.
