One of America’s most reputable gambling and sports betting firms, FanDuel, has recently announced a handful of new initiatives to assist sports fans in responsible wagering. This announcement coincides with Problem Gambling Awareness Month in March. The FanDuel Group will launch brand new content, an advertisement campaign, and a $100,000 donation to the NCPG (National Council on Problem Gambling).

As of March 3, 2022, FanDuel and its new partnership with Boomshot will begin to produce responsible gaming advertisement campaigns.

Through the utilization of TV, Digital, Audio, and social advertisements, FanDuel will highlight the issues with gambling, including a television ad set to run throughout the year. The aforementioned television advertisement will promote FanDuel’s gaming tools, such as wager limits, website, and deposit timeouts. The main intention is to raise awareness and direct positive usage of FanDuel’s gaming tools.

Craig Carton, who is the Gaming Ambassador and sports media personality for FanDuel, will play a crucial role in the company’s awareness month goals. Carton hosts his own podcast that recognizes the gambling industry through his personal experience and helps others manage their own play. As the gaming ambassador throughout Problem Gambling Awareness Month, Carton will emphasize FanDuel’s encouragement to steer customers away from chasing losses whilst understanding that sports betting is a form of entertainment.

In addition, Carton will work alongside multiple FanDuel subsectors, one of which includes a play pattern recognition system that could assist operators in seeking out irresponsible gaming. The talents of Carton will be used in an assortment of methods, including training modules for employees, gaming tutorials for customers, and recorded videos to accentuate FanDuel’s gaming tools.

“We’re fully committed at FanDuel to developing useful tools and programs that make a difference in responsible gaming,” commented the Vice President of Responsible Gaming at FanDuel, Adam Warrington. “Our new ad campaign and Craig Carton’s content aim to bring an important spotlight to our player control tools that help customers keep sports betting fun and entertaining.”

In addition to FanDuel’s gambling awareness initiative program, the group will also make a generous $100,000 donation to the NCPG, further supporting the advocation of services that help those affected by gambling.

“The Play-Well tools offer a common-sense, non-stigmatizing approach to responsible play and problem gambling prevention. This critical initiative not only offers vital consumer protections but actively encourages customers to use these tools regularly,” said Keith Whyte, the NCPG Executive Direction. “We applaud FanDuel Group for taking meaningful steps, during Problem Gambling Awareness Month and all year long, to promote responsible gambling and address problem gambling nationwide.”
