Illinois’ May betting numbers have been released. These numbers show that, in terms of figures like monthly revenue and handle, Illinois is one of the sportsbook’s favorite states.

Along with New York and New Jersey, Illinois is one of the nation’s most popular states for sports betting.
One major reason why Illinois is popular for sports bettors is that they have access to excellent sports betting operators, and these provide a strong experience for their customers.

Seven mobile sports betting operators are available in this state. These operators include big names like Caesars Sportsbook and BetMGM.

FanDuel Takes the Cake

But the top sportsbook most worth mentioning for its success and popularity in Illinois is arguably FanDuel. FanDuel’s success in Illinois is, among other statistics, evident inĀ its May win rate on parlays, which was a ridiculous 22 percent higher than that of the average sportsbook.

This month in Illinois, FanDuel’s adjusted revenue exceeded $30 million, with parlays forming a major reason for this profit.

Parlays are uniquely popular to play at FanDuel where the sportsbook has profited from the public’s interest in placing them.

But FanDuel is not only deriving its success from public parlays. Its online handle in Illinois was $253.7 million.

Baseball and basketball were the most popular sports to bet on. While the Bulls didn’t make it far enough to play in May, the May action in basketball was uniquely exciting since it was playoff time. For MLB, the Cubs and White Sox were in action.
