Bettors in Ohio are scrambling to put Xavier in their March Madness picks – and this Bet Credit deal from Caesars Sportsbook makes it even easier.
Xavier Musketeers vs. Texas Longhorns
Friday, March 24, 2023 – 09:45 PM EDT at T-Mobile Center
It just seems right to have Sean Miller back as head coach of the Xavier Musketeers. They went to the Sweet 16 in each of his last two years in charge, and even reached the Elite 8 in 2008; now that Miller is back in the fold, Xavier looks just as good as ever.
The No. 3 Musketeers are already the sharp choice for your college basketball picks when they take on the No. 2 Texas Longhorns this Friday in Sweet 16 action. But Xavier is an even better bet if you happen to be a new customer from Ohio, thanks to this exclusive offer from Caesars Sportsbook.
Bet Credit up to $1500
This is a no-brainer if you’re not already playing at Caesars. All you have to do is register using the given promo code, then place your wager – on Cincinnati’s finest basketball team, of course – and if Xavier somehow fails to cover, you’ll get your entire stake back (up to $1,500) as a Bet Credit.
Only first-time customers from Ohio qualify for this deal, and $1,500 is a lot to wager on a single bet, but if you happen to have a large enough bankroll, it makes sense to maximize your potential Bet Credit bonus. You’ll have 14 days to use up that bonus amount, giving you lots of options when it comes to what else you should bet on.
Old Xavier for Aye
First things first, we have Xavier (27-9 SU, 19-16-1 ATS) taking on Texas (28-8 SU, 18-17-1 ATS) this Friday. It’s a tough test for the Musketeers; they’re 4-point underdogs at Caesars as we go to press.
It’s nothing they can’t handle. Xavier has performed very well as a small dog this year, going 4-1-1 ATS when getting up to 4.5 points on the NCAAB odds board. That includes straight-up wins over Providence (-4), Villanova (-2), and UConn (-3).
The Longhorns are a formidable opponent, of course. They rank fifth overall (No. 15 offense, No. 10 defense) on Ken Pomeroy’s efficiency charts, while Xavier checks in at No. 15 overall (No. 7 offense, No. 63 defense).
Don’t be too alarmed by those defensive rankings, though. Miller may give the offense more weight in his system than defense, but he also trains his players very hard at that end of the court, emphasizing their development rather than simply throwing generic zone defenses at opponents to slow them down.
Now that we’re deep into March Madness, those efforts are bearing fruit. And if Xavier’s defense does fall apart against Texas, you’ve got up to $1,500 in Bet Credit bonus money to back you up. Bet accordingly.
