There aren’t too many young quarterbacks out there who are more promising than C.J. Stroud. Fans of the Ohio State Buckeyes know exactly what we mean; Stroud led OSU to the College Football Playoff in back-to-back seasons, and was named a Heisman Trophy finalist for 2021 and 2022.
So which team will select Stroud this Thursday at the 2023 NFL Draft? We’re assuming he goes very early in Round 1 as projected, although there are some rumblings that Stroud could slip as far as the No. 11 pick, where the Tennessee Titans are lying in wait.
Stroud could easily get snapped up well before that. There are several quarterback-hungry teams at the top of the draft pile; here are Stroud’s odds at press time to be taken first and second, as they appear on the NFL odds board at Caesars Sportsbook:
- • Pick No. 1: +2000
- • Pick No. 2: +600
If we’re interpreting the buzz correctly, it looks like the Carolina Panthers will take Alabama’s QB Bryce Young with the first overall pick, leaving the Houston Texans as the more likely destination for Stroud. But if you’re a proud Ohioan, you can make either of these bets with confidence when you’ve got up to $1,500 in Bet Credit coverage to back you up.
Bet Credit: Up to $1,500
This is a very special deal that’s only for new customers from the Buckeye State; use the promo code CZR1BET when you sign up at Caesars, place your first real-money wager, and if it loses, you’ll get your entire stake back in the form of a Bet Credit for up to $1,500.
It’s a great feeling when you have the freedom to bet whatever you like with your first wager, knowing you’ve got backup should you lose. Do you want to bet Stroud to go No. 1 to Carolina? Maybe the talk about Young is a smoke screen, maybe not, but thanks to this Bet Credit offer, putting Stroud in your NFL picks at +2000 is easy as pie.
You could go with Houston at the No. 2 spot instead, of course. However, most mock drafts have the Texans going with defense instead, and someone like DE/OLB Will Anderson from the Crimson Tide. Stroud’s name does pop up on some of these draft boards, though.
Other potential candidates for Stroud include the Indianapolis Colts at No. 4, the Seattle Seahawks at No. 5, the Detroit Lions at No. 6, and the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 7. It seems unlikely he’ll fall all the way to Tennessee at No. 11, but stranger things have happened.
You might find NFL draft odds for all these potential landing spots by the time you read this, but for now, we’re recommending Stroud going to the Texans at No. 2, so grab that Bet Credit deal from Caesars and get cracking.
