Here at The RX, we take a look at the USA Soccer team’s chances of progressing to the knockout stages of the World Cup as well as a look at the last game of the group stage for Les Bleus.

The USA’s match against Iran is crucial as a win for the United States would see them qualify and likewise, a draw for Iran would see them progress.

On the other hand, it’s entirely plausible that Tunisia vs. France is one of the most uncompetitive matches in the 2022 World Cup but for that reason, it could be perfect for bettors to keep their bankrolls ticking over.

Iran vs. USA

Monday, November 29, 2022 – 02:00 PM EST at Al Thumama Stadium

Iran Team – FIFA Ranking: 20th

Iran must be buoyed by their last-gasp win over Wales after Wayne Hennessey’s sending-off in the 86th minute, opened the door for two goals in extra time that all but scuppered Welsh chances of progression. After their opening 6-2 drubbing at the hands of group favorites, England, Iran now only need a draw, to progress, in all likelihood. Despite only having 40% of possession in the Match, Iran had double the shots on goal of their opponents so Roozbeh Chezhmi and Ramin Rezaelan scoring late on was perhaps not as surprising as you would think.

USA Team – FIFA Ranking: 16th

The United States is coming off two draws, firstly, to Wales and then on Friday an impressive 0-0 draw with England. It has to be stated, that the USA looked like the only winners as their youthful energy and skill wore England down in the middle phase of the game, either side of halftime. Weston McKennie in right midfield was an ever-present danger until his substitution while Chelsea attacking midfielder, Christian Pulisic caused the England defense no end of problems.

Conclusion

I was super impressed by the USA’s performance versus England on Friday. They are a young emerging team who if kept in fact, for 2026 could be outsiders with a chance. For now, the youngsters are gaining experience by the match, and I believe knowing their fate is in their own hands by winning against Iran will be all the motivation the USA Team need to keep up their high-octane pressing strategy.

My advice is to take the USA to beat Iran at the price of +105 with SBK.

Top Pick: USA ML (+106) at SBK

Tunisia vs. France

Wednesday, November 30, 2022 – 10:00 AM EST at Education City Stadium

Tunisia Team – FIFA Ranking: 30th

Tunisia went into Saturday’s World Cup Soccer game with Australia as +100 favorites but their 1-0 defeat after an underwhelming performance has left the African side bottom of Group D. This didn’t dampen the Tunisian fan’s excitement for their team’s World Cup, and those supporters have been an absolute joy and one of the abiding memories of the World Cup so far.

For that reason, with nothing to lose on Wednesday, we can expect the Tunisian team to throw caution to the wind. They do have attacking options with captain Youssef Msakni up front and they will be determined to give their supporters at least a goal to remember this World Cup by.

France Team – FIFA Ranking: 4th

France has eased comfortably into this World Cup with a 4-1 defeat of Australia followed by a 2-1 win over their European counterparts, Denmark with Kylian Mbappe scoring twice. France’s star forward put an early marker down for the tournaments Golden Boot as the top scorer by taking his tally to three, a market he is a +300 favorite for.

Meanwhile, France themselves are still available at an attractive +600 to become the World Cup Soccer winners of 2022. Olivier Giroud managed to score two in the opening game and scoring goals is not going to be a problem for the European side.

Conclusion

This final match of Group D has something of a dead rubber feel to it, but I expect a strong performance from the Tunisian side to give their loyal supporters something to cheer and remember their World Cup adventure for.

If we combine that with the fact, that perhaps the French side will lack a little intensity and even possibly rest their stars for part or all of the game. No matter, the French are such talented soccer players that whatever team they field, they are bound to score.

I couldn’t help but notice the “Both Teams To Score” prop was set at the plus money price of +105 with Bet365 for our second pick, so let’s cash in on what should be an open entertaining World Cup match on Wednesday.

Top Pick: Both Teams to Score (+105) at Bet365
