Thunder at Grizzlies: Game 6 Betting Preview

Thunder Grizzlies logosThe Oklahoma City Thunder will try to finish off the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night when the teams tip off in Game 6 of their best-of-seven series (9:05 p.m. ET, ESPN).

In Game 5 on Wednesday night, the Thunder routed the Grizzlies 99-72 as 6-point home favorites to take a 3-2 lead in the series. It was OK City’s second-straight win in the series.

Despite that loss, Memphis is listed as a 1.5-point home favorite at SBGGlobal.com and the total is set at 195.5. On the moneyline, the Grizzlies are -125; the Thunder are +105.

After being down 2-1, the series turned around for the Thunder when they won that classic triple overtime game 133-123 in Memphis as 2-point road dgos on Monday. The Grizzlies had no energy after losing that game and they were blown off the court in Game 5.

From the tip, the Grizzlies were never in the game. Zach Randolph was a non-factor, Mike Conley was horrible and the Grizzlies shot 36 percent from the field.

The Thunder, on the other hand, didn’t look fatigued at all. They were so dominant that they didn’t even need big games from Kevin Durant or Russell Westbrook. The Thunder had a 20-7 edge in fast break points. They also won more second chance points and were stronger in the paint.

The Thunder became the first team in NBA history to win their next game after winning a triple overtime playoff game. No team since the 1976 Boston Celtics has won a playoff series after winning a triple overtime playoff game but the Thunder are in position to do it on Friday night.

Here are some key NBA Playoff betting stats for Friday’s game:

The Thunder are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven road games. The Thunder are 20-9 ATS in their last 29 Friday games.

The Grizzlies are 23-9 ATS in their last 32 home games. The home team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings between the two teams.

The over is 6-2 in Oklahoma City’s last eight Conference Semifinals games. In this series, the over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings.
