Breaking Down The Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have not looked that good this year, but here they are with a 4-1 record. They started with a 2 points win over Miami and then fell to St Louis by a score of 9-3. Their best game of the year was vs the Niners as they won that game 38-17, but struggled with the Jets before winning by 19 and then wo by just 2 points at home over Atlanta. Just not impressive, but still they are 4-1 on the year and a win here will give them a commanding lead in the division. The Seahawks have really missed Marshawn Lynch this year as they are just 24th in the league in rushing after ranking in the top 5 the last couple of years. Wilson has been decent with 1334 yards passing and 5 TDs to just 1 INT, but he has run for just 35 yards so far after rushing for 533 yards last year and 849 yards the year before. Overall they are 20th in scoring, putting up just 21 ppg. On defense is where their bread is buttered as they come in ranked 1st in the league in total yards allowed, 5th vs the pass, 3rd vs the run and 4th in points allowed, giving up just 15.6 ppg so far. They will be tested vs a good Arizona offense

Trends: The Seahawks are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games in Week 7 and 19-5-2 ATS in their last 26 games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game, but just 20-41-2 ATS in their last 63 games in October and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win. The Over is 6-2 in their last 8 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game, while the Under is 13-6 in their last 19 vs. the NFC West.

Breaking Down The Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are a good team, but it hasn’t really showed until last week when they topped the Jets by a score of 28-3. They played a complete game in that one, but it was vs the Jets and the competition goes way up in this one. The Cardinals have a good passing attack, but they have been led by their running game, which ranks 4th in the league. Leading the way is David Johnson, who has run for 568 yards so far, including 268 in the last two weeks. He also has 265 yards receiving as well. He is their offense right now with 8 TDs, which leads the league. Overall the Cardinals are 9th in total offense and 10th in scoring, putting up 25.5 ppg. On defense they have been very strong this year as they are 4th in total yards allowed and 6th in points allowed. They are 3rd vs the pass and that is what you need to stop this Seahawks offense right now as they can’t run the ball. This Arizona defense could have a very good showing vs a below average seattle offense.

Trends:  The Cardinals have gone 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game, but just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games and 2-8 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. The Over is 10-2 in the last 12 meetings here in Arizona, while the Under is 6-1 in their last 7 vs. a team with a winning record.
