NBA Opening Night Free Picks

Free NBA pick from Doc’s Sports for Tuesday Opening Night (23-11 for NBA free picks last season and 16-5 free picks run to finish off season, big play for Dallas/LA Lakers on tap for Tuesday Opening Night and we are 5-1 the last four years on Opening Night)

#501 Take Cleveland/Washington UNDER 189 (Tuesday, 7 p.m. ET)

We think the Wizards will be a pretty good defensive team this season. Coach Randy Wittman is trying to follow the blueprint of the Bulls and Celtics in the Eastern Conference in building a team that is defensively stout and hoping some offensive stars emerge. It is not going to help things for an already-questionable offense that John Wall, their best offensive player, is out for a month and maybe more.

We think that this team is going to dig deep on D and that has been one of the main focuses of the offseason. In the middle of last season this team started playing pretty good defense. We think they got away from that late in the season after the doldrums of being out of contention set in and they relapsed a bit.

But with Wall out and a fresh slate for this year we feel as if this team is going to really amp up the defensive pressure, especially early in the season. The Wizards brought in Trevor Ariza and Emeka Okafor, and these guys will help further improve the D. But this team is probably going to be pretty inept offensively.

On the other side of the court is a Cleveland Cavs team that was No. 25 offensively last season. Kyrie Irving is a great player and he will improve this year, but the team didn’t do a lot in the offseason to improve on that low offensive ranking. We handicapped this game at 186 so there is some nice value here in our eyes and unless this one goes to OT with two pretty evenly matched teams, we have a great chance to cash this ticket.

Take #503 Boston +6.5 over Miami (8:00 p.m. ET)

Good solid strategy here is to bet against the former NBA champion from the season before in their “ring ceremony” game. Usually players come in distracted and lose focus in this emotional game for them. The last time the Heat received their championship rings was the start of the 2006-2007 season and they were hammered in that opener, losing the game by over 40 points. Miami will play in a lot of big games this season but expecting a top notch effort from them here in game one may be asking a little too much.

Boston has a couple motivating factors going for them here in this one. The Celtics were eliminated in a hard fought seven games last season by Miami in the playoffs and will be playing this game with big time revenge on their minds here. The Celtics also lost one of their top players in Ray Allen to free agency after the season as Allen now suits up for Boston’s opponent here in this one, the Miami Heat.

Lots of emotion here in this rivalry. Expect a tightly contested game. Take Boston plus the points.

CBB season is right around the corner as things tip off in less than two weeks. If you like making easy money betting sports than early season college basketball should be up your alley. Ask any professional sports bettor when he makes his most money and the majority of them will tell you it’s in the first two months of the CBB season.

I went 46-24 and rolled out some huge profits early last season. I am very excited and expecting the exact same thing and even more this year as I plan on increasing the volume with more winning plays early on. We have season packages up along with monthly one’s as well. Join me this year for what should be a very profitable CBB season again.
