College Basketball Betting Preview: Baylor at Oklahoma St.

Baylor will be looking to sweep Oklahoma State in a season series for the first time since 1922 when the teams meet on Tuesday night (7:00 p.m. ET, ESPN2).

If the Bears (18-10 SU, 7-7 conf., 7-13 ATS) are able to win their last two regular season games they’ll finish with 20 wins for the fourth straight season. Baylor is still on the NCAA Tournament bubble but as of right now they would probably be in.

Oklahoma State (17-11 SU, 5-9 conf., 11-12 ATS) on the other hand is not in a good position and will need to win tonight and on Saturday against Oklahoma, then do some damage in the Big 12 conference tournament.

Oklahoma State is listed as a 2-point home favorite at SBGGlobal.com.

Baylor has had almost no success in Stillwater having won just three times in 26 tries. The Bears have lost seven straight at Oklahoma State. This might be their best chance to get a win as they have G LaceDarius Dunn who leads the Big 12 in scoring with 20.2 points per game.

The Bears are coming off a key win on Saturday beating Texas A&M 58-51 as 3-point home favorites. One of the keys to Baylor’s success this season has been defense – the Bears are 15-4 SU when they hold opponents to under 70 points.

Oklahoma State is coming off a 70-68 win over Texas Tech on Saturday as 8-point home favorites. With that win, the Cowboys improved to just 5-9 in the Big 12. So even if they were to win their final two games to finish 7-9 in the conference, a losing record in the Big 12 is not going to impress the tournament committee.

The one positive for the Cowboys is that they have been good at home this season winning 12 of their 14 games (7-5 ATS) with their only losses coming to Texas and Texas A&M.

Here are some key NBA betting stats for Tuesday’s game:

The Cowboys are 36-14-2 ATS in their last 52 home games. The Cowboys are 0-6 ATS in their last six games overall.

The Bears are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall. Baylor is just 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings at Oklahoma State.

In this series, the home team is 8-0 ATS in the last eight meetings.

The under is 5-2 in the Bears’ last seven road games. The over is 8-2 in the Cowboys’ last 10 home games. In this series, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings at Oklahoma State.
