LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed a shocking victory during the "Freeway Series" opener.
The Dodgers try to build on that momentum Saturday when they continue a three-game Interleague set against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
After losing nine of their previous 11 games against the Angels, the Dodgers earned a 6-0 victory on Friday on the strength of a stellar outing by Chan Ho Park (3-2), who pitched six strong innings in his third start of the season.
With the victory, the Dodgers improved to 4-9 in Interleague play during 2008 and handed Anaheim a rare road loss. The Angels have won six consecutive series away from home while posting a major league-best 26-14 record on the road.
Chad Billingsley (6-7, 3.64 ERA) aims to duplicate Park's performance on Saturday when he takes the mound for the Dodgers.
Billingsley has won back-to-back starts, allowing just four runs while striking out 13 in 11 1/3 innings over that span.
Jered Weaver (7-7, 4.56) goes for his fourth win in his last five starts when he counters for the Angels.
